28000 € grant for fee & flights, until March 17th, 2025

We have good news for those of you who are interested in programming Barcelona Flamenco Ballet!

The Institut Ramon Llull is offering a grant of up to 28 000€ to promote the international programming of Catalan performing arts companies in venues outside Spain.

This grant covers up to 80 % of the eligible costs, i.e. up to a maximum of 35 000€.

The eligible costs covered are:

  • Company fees.
  • The company’s travel expenses (flights, etc.).
  • Only expenses directly assumed by the applicant.
  • Expenses incurred and paid before the end of the justification period.

Freight transport is not considered an expense, although we travel with all our costumes in checked-in bags: no problem!

Documentation to be provided:

  • Contract or letter of invitation signed by all parties.
  • Complete and detailed budget of the fees, travel, showing all expected expenses and income, the amount of grant requested and the sources of funding.

Assessment criteria:

  • Trajectory of the venue/festival (up to 3 points).
  • Connection with the field of Catalan (or Balearic) performing arts (up to 1.5 points).
  • Territorial importance of the venue/festival: Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, United States, Estonia, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Morocco, Mexico, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, Quebec, United Kingdom, Republic of Korea, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, China and Chile (1 point).
  • Prestige of the venue/festival (up to 3 points).
  • Interest, content and quality of the program (up to 4.5 points).

The application deadline is from February 24th to March 17th, 2025.

The maximum decision period is 6 months from the date of publication of the call for proposals (we will expect the resolution by July).

The payment of the grant must be processed once the performance has been carried out and the supporting documentation has been submitted beforehand.

Obligations of the beneficiaries:

  • Include the Institut Ramon Llull logo and/or the statement ‘with support from the Institut Ramon Llull’ on the website or other digital communication media of the venue.
  • Include the Institut Ramon Llull logo and/or the statement ‘with support from the Institut Ramon Llull’ on any printed promotional materials.
