Celebrating its 12th edition, Festival Jurmala continues to stand as one of Latvia’s most important summer cultural events. Located along the Gulf of Riga, Jūrmala is known for its vibrant cultural life and long-standing tradition of hosting important music events, making it an ideal setting for this remarkable summer festival. 

From July 13 until July 20, performances will take place at the renowned and impressive Dzintari Concert Hall, a venue that has become central to the festival’s identity.

On July 16, the program will feature the Argentine tango performance, one of the Argentine tango groups with the largest audiences in Europe (they have performed more than 800 concerts in 23 countries across four continents): https://dzintarukoncertzale.lv/event/jurmala-festival-argentine-tango/ 

The group consists of six dancers plus four musicians — Alejandro Picciano (Guitar & Artistic Director), Federico Peuvrel (Piano), Matías Picciano (Bandoneon), and Eugenia Giordano (Vocals). Their repertoire blends tangos, waltzes, milongas, and other traditional styles, bringing the spirit of Buenos Aires to the stage.

The concert will also feature three dance couples, whose choreography and elegant costumes add a powerful visual dimension to the performance.
