Spanish Flamenco Ballet presents Flamenco Fusion at the Casino de Estoril on October 31, as part of the 26th edition of Festival Flamenco Estoril.

On October 31, the elegance of the Casino de Estoril will provide the setting for Flamenco Fusion, an ambitious contemporary flamenco ballet that brings together the expressive power of Spanish dance, the energy of jazz and the intensity of live music.

Presented by Spanish Flamenco Ballet, the production features 9 dancers and 5 musicians on stage, creating a dynamic and immersive experience in which movement, rhythm and emotion become a universal language.

A new dialogue between tradition and modernity

Flamenco Fusion explores the possibilities of flamenco beyond its traditional boundaries. The production combines different styles of Spanish dance with an innovative choreographic approach, while the music of Ara Malikian, José Luis Montón, Roberto Pacheco and Fernando Egozcue contributes to its distinctive contemporary sound.

One of the show’s most striking features is the dialogue between flamenco and jazz, together with the unusual presence of the violin as a central musical voice. The result is a proposal that preserves the strength and passion of flamenco while opening it to new artistic perspectives.

Through its carefully crafted choreography, music, lighting and costumes, Flamenco Fusion offers audiences a visually compelling journey that celebrates both the elegance of Spanish dance and the freedom of contemporary creation.

From international stages to Estoril

The company has already presented Flamenco Fusion on international stages, including the Sibiu International Theatre Festival in Romania, where its performance formed part of Flamenco Agency’s 2025 programme. The production has also toured Spanish theatres, including Madrid’s Teatro Reina Victoria.

Its arrival at Casino de Estoril marks a new opportunity to experience a contemporary flamenco ballet designed to connect with audiences of all ages, combining artistic ambition with the immediacy and emotional power of live performance.
