EFA’s Arts Festival Summit, April 27-30, 2025

This year is the 7th time that we attend the European Festivals Association (EFA) Arts Festivals Summit. From 27 to 30 April, we will join the annual gathering of the arts festivals community in Edinburgh where we will share our experiences, ideas, and challenges.

Moreover, in order to work more closely, Arts Festivals Summit 2025 introduces a unique collaboration co-hosted by the Edinburgh International Festival, Festivals Edinburgh, and the City of Edinburgh inviting festival colleagues from around the world.

The city of Edinburgh is known for its attractive architecture, which is part of UNESCO World Heritage status, its literary tradition, for which it holds the title of UNESCO City of Literature, its importance as the home of the Scottish Enlightenment due to modern world inventions and, of course, its festivals. Nowadays, there are eleven official festivals that take place in the city, which contributes to grow Edinburgh’s reputation as The Festival City.

As a result of its commitment to the performing arts, Flamenco Agency has collaborated with the following European Festival Association (EFA) members, creating a wonderful experience for both Flamenco Agency and festival audiences:

  • Ghent Festival of Flanders, 2018 & 2019
  • Ljubljana Festival
  • Izmir International Festival
  • Ohrid Summer Festival
  • Gdańsk Shakespeare Festival
  • International Ankara Music Festival
  • Festival delle Nazioni (ItaliaFestivals)
  • Al Bustan International Festival of Music and the Performing Arts
  • Festival de Wiltz

We have also cooperated with these EFFE label festivals these past years:

  • Varna Summer International Music Festival and VIA Fest, in 2020, 2021 & 2023
  • Førde Traditional and World Music Festival, 2015 & 2018
  • Pažaislis Music Festival
  • Khamoro Festival
  • Nomus Festival

We have also been participating in the European Festival Forest (EFF) organisation to reduce our carbon footprints. We, as performing activists, have a unique opportunity to raise awareness about sustainability and environmental issues through our productions and events, promoting a sense of responsibility and inspiring audiences to act. You can learn more about our cultural climate actions at https://flamencoagency.com/sustainability/.

Finally, Flamenco Agency has been participating annually at the most prestigious conferences for the performing arts such as Arts Festivals Summit (EFA), APAP, China SPAF, CINARS, Classical Next, Exib Música, IAMA, IETM, Mapas Mercado Cultural, Opera Europa, PAMS, Sibiu Performing Arts Market, Tanzmesse or WOMEX.

Through its active dedication with EFA and with major festivals, Flamenco Agency is ready to play a key role in the conversation shaping the future of the festival scene in Europe. This year we will participate in many relevant festivals, as you can follow at https://flamencoagency.com/news/ .
